Tell the ‘whole story’ of your landscape. Our design process involves a thorough site analysis and envisioning stage to arrive at a comprehensive plan set. Beginning with an initial consultation on-site, our designer captures detailed notes about existing conditions and the client “wish list.” A design proposal follows, outlining next steps. Each design package reflects the unique story of the project and may include:
site plan
analysis plan
utilities & demo plan
concept plan
planting plan & plant list
construction details as needed.
Optional additions include an irrigation plan, lighting plan, drainage plan, materials plan, and specifications.
At the end of the process, our clients will possess a design plan set ready to hand off to licensed contractors for an installation bid.
Design consultation
$120/hour
One-on-one time in your garden exploring ways to improve an existing landscape. Utilize our designer’s knowledge of plants, materials, and construction logistics to make small-scale changes that bring about large effects at an affordable cost. Often times, a thoughtful new plant list and a layer of mulch can freshen a garden. Could a turf area be converted to a native meadow? What about adding fruit trees or flowering vines? Maybe the next step involves hardscape: re-surfacing pathways or building terraces on an eroding slope. All these ideas and more can come together in person.
Water system design
$120/hour
Tap into our designer’s deep knowledge of irrigation, rainwater catchment, and greywater systems to bring new lushness to your garden. From redirecting downspouts to modifying existing irrigation to mapping out laundry-to-landscape gravity lines, we can provide time-saving, expert advice and plans on an as-needed basis.
